Display the temperature of the processor and card on the screen. How to check your computer's temperature: several effective ways. What should be the program to check the temperature of the video card and processor?

Probably every computer user has experienced overheating of a video card or processor. This is the first thing you have to check after an incomprehensible shutdown of the computer or the appearance of a blue screen of death - the heating temperature of the processor and video card. In principle, even before an emergency shutdown, the overheating of the video card becomes visible on the monitor - image artifacts may appear, programs and games will begin to freeze, and constant reboots will interfere with work. Blue screen- the main sign of this particular type of dysfunction.

Blue screen of death

The main reasons for a computer to overheat under normal conditions of use:

The most common causes of computer overheating are depreciation of cooling elements and dust. To clean your computer from dust, you just need to vacuum it periodically. The wear and tear of the fans is indicated by noise, crackling, and periodic stopping of their operation. Because of this, the thermal conductivity of the thermal interface deteriorates. Also during service The thermal paste and thermal pads need to be replaced.

This amount of dust will kill any processor

If you often play powerful games on your laptop, run complex video processing programs, or work with 3D, etc., then the video card and processor may also overheat. Viruses can also heavily load the system.

Normal operating temperatures

The permissible processor temperature should be kept within 40-60 degrees. If after measuring you notice that the temperature has exceeded the maximum permissible value, then you need to take some measures. It is better to avoid destructive overheating of the processor, because this is an expensive component, the replacement and even repair of which will cost a considerable amount.

The most common cause of computer failure is overheating

The temperature of the video card should be kept within 40-50 degrees. For more powerful video cards, 60-70 degrees will be normal. The higher this indicator rises, the more wear on the video card will increase and problems with the image will appear more often - artifacts (appearance of dots, stripes), loss of textures and freezes.

Program for measuring the temperature of the processor and video card

In order to timely detect an abnormal increase in the temperature of computer components, you need to install a program to track its indicators. Inside any device there are a lot of sensors that measure the temperature of parts, voltage and fan speed. The number of sensors varies depending on the device model, its components, and connection options. For example, a cooler and a rotation speed meter in different devices can be connected to the motherboard or power supply.

Video card temperature sensors

Computer sensors are quite rarely calibrated. Therefore, the error between temperatures can sometimes jump up to 10 degrees. This must be taken into account if the following situation occurs: the video card, judging by the sensor readings, heats up to 60 degrees, the maximum of the device is 70. But at the moment Games start to slow down. This means that the sensor does not show the real temperature, but overheating is present.

Special devices have been developed for gamers to monitor and regulate the temperature of internal components

There are a huge variety of programs for viewing temperature sensor readings. However, most of them cannot be called completely reliable. Some measure temperatures accurately, but the sensors may not be calibrated, others do not support your computer components, and others may be completely glitchy. But with a thorough search on the Internet, you can also find universal programs that can be downloaded directly to your computer for free and without registration. You can give preference to paid programs, the choice of which is also quite large.

Programs for measuring processor temperature

There is no processor to measure temperature special programs. This is a rather narrow functionality that is implemented in conjunction with other capabilities. The processor temperature will be known along with all other system information. Such programs show all the information about the processor, video card, hard drive, motherboard, fans. Using CPU-Z you can find out the processor temperature, number of cores, specifications and processor model.

CPU-Z has won a leading place among similar programs for collecting temperature data

  • There are more complex programs, such as EVEREST Ultimate Edition, which are mainly intended for professionals. Of course, any user can use EVEREST, but only a person who thoroughly understands the software and hardware can use most of the data. EVEREST Ultimate Edition is a paid program.
  • SpeedFan is a free program that will help monitor the operation of computer sensors: temperature, processor speed and voltage, hard drive etc.
  • HWMonitor Portable 1.27 can display temperature and voltage indicators on the screen online.

Programs for viewing the temperature of a video card

Likewise, programs for viewing the temperature of a video card are universal and show detailed information about the entire system. That is, in addition to temperature, you can see the name of the manufacturer, device ID, model, frequency of the video card cores, its voltage and throughput during data exchange, also the type and amount of memory, etc. Using these programs is not difficult, some do not even require installation. You can list such programs as:

  • SpeedFan - monitors many computer sensors;
  • HWMonitor Portable;
  • GPU-Z;
  • Speccy is a universal program for obtaining data about all computer components.

One of the simple and reliable programs for monitoring temperature changes is the HWmonitor program. It provides quite enough information about the temperature and other characteristics of the computer. It displays 3 temperature values: current, min and max, which is very convenient for testing your computer.

The program shows 3 temperature values

Gadget for determining temperature on nvidia

Sometimes it is not at all necessary to download and install such powerful programs as EVEREST just to monitor the temperature of the video card. For these purposes, some small gadget on your desktop will be enough.

Gadgets for your computer desktop

Is it possible to download a free program that shows and controls the temperature?

Yes, almost all gadgets and small programs can be found and downloaded for free. Paid programs- these are usually professional monsters like EVEREST Ultimate Edition. For preventive purposes, checking the temperature regime, under an average load on the computer, provided that the gamer does not overclock it, small programs are quite enough for powerful games.

How to control overheating in BIOS

In Bios we need to look where the parameter we need is located - processor temperature. You need to look for it in the “Hardware”, “Power” sections under the name “Hardware monitor” (monitoring). It should be taken into account that when loading the computer, when turning it on, the processor temperature is always an order of magnitude higher than during stable operation. Therefore, you need to check the temperature not from the very beginning of work, but already during the process.

What to do if sensors detect excess temperature

If you observe exceeding the maximum permissible temperatures, it is necessary to carry out preventive work. And first of all, clean your computer from dust. This can be done with a regular vacuum cleaner. Be sure to pay attention to the fans - the blades must be clean. The thermal paste on the video card needs to be replaced. The old thermal paste must be carefully removed - it loses its properties over time, and the new one must be applied in a thin layer.

Replacing thermal paste

If the summer is hot or the user tries to overclock the computer for his games or uses powerful programs, he just needs to install additional coolers. The cooler can be installed on a video card, on a processor, on a motherboard. It is always better to install new fans - they are inexpensive, and lubricating the old one with technical oil, as a rule, does not have a long-term effect. When installing new fans, check if there is anything superfluous along the path of air movement: cables, all wires must be neatly laid out. In summer, many people simply remove the side cover system unit for better computer cooling.

System unit with additional coolers

If the laptop is heating up, perhaps the reason is the same insufficient cooling. Firstly, the fan may simply fail due to overload and need to be replaced with a new one. Secondly, special cooling pads with fans have been developed for any laptop model: they can be universal, or they can be designed specifically for certain models.

Laptop cooling pad

If all of the above steps are completed, and overheating still occurs, then you will have to slightly reduce the processor supply voltage in Bios using a trial method.

How to reduce heat using Bios settings

The easiest way to fix your computer overheating problem is to change Bios settings. A technology has long been developed that allows you to reduce the frequency of the processor during idle periods. For AMD processors this is Cool'n'Quite, for Intel processors- Enhanced SpeedStep Technology. To check for these technologies:

  • in Windows 7 you need to go to the “Control Panel”, then Power Options, see which power plan is active. There are 3 plans as standard: “Balanced”, “High Performance”, “Energy Saving”. To activate Cool’n’Quite and Enhanced SpeedStep Technology, you can select Economy or Balanced.
  • in Windows XP, select “Energy Saving Manager” there.

To check whether the energy saving technology has turned on, you can use free program CPU Rightmark. Watch the video about its installation.

Previously, I wrote an article about what to do if . There can be many reasons for its appearance, and one of the most common is overheating. That is, the temperature of the video card is too high. And to exclude this reason, it needs to be checked.

Checking the temperature of the video card is carried out using special programs. There are quite a few of them, so only a few of them, the most popular ones, will be discussed below. It is not at all necessary to use them all: just choose one - which one you like the most.

Free utility GPU-Z

Let's start with the GPU-Z utility. It's pretty simple program to check the temperature of the video card in Russian. Its main advantages:

  • free;
  • does not require installation;
  • shows a lot of extra useful information(video memory frequency, cooler speed, etc.).

And most importantly: it’s easy to use. Download this program from. site and launch. Go to the “Sensors” tab and look at the “GPU Temperature” item. Hover your mouse cursor over it and you will see a hint (in Russian) of what it shows.

As you can see, in my case the video card temperature is 28 degrees (in idle mode). This is a wonderful indicator that proves that everything is fine with her.

By the way, using this utility you can view the temperature of the video card at the time of peak load. For example, during a game. But before launching it, click on the triangle icon and select the third item in the drop-down list - “Show Highest Reading”. Now the GPU-Z utility will show the maximum temperature.

Launch the game, play for about 30 minutes, then close it and see what the program shows. If the maximum temperature does not exceed 90 degrees, then everything is fine. At least there is definitely no overheating.

Functional program AIDA64

The program is paid (link), but there is a 30-day free period. Plus, it has powerful functionality and shows a lot of useful information. For example, you can use it to see the exact name RAM(to understand which one needs to be purchased), etc. By the way, it is entirely in Russian.

AIDA64 also monitors the temperature of the video card. To view it, expand the “Computer” section and select “Sensors”. Here the line “GPU Diode” shows the operating temperature. In the screenshot below it is 28 degrees.

Convenient utility GPUTemp

Another program for measuring temperature is GPUTemp. It is intended only for this purpose and does not show any unnecessary information. Therefore, just launch it and look at the “GPU Core” item.

By the way, this program has one very convenient feature. If you hide it, it will show the temperature in the tray (near the clock).

Agree, this is very convenient. After all, this way you can see the temperature of the video card without opening the utility itself.

Free portable Speccy

Speccy is free, plus there is even a portable version (does not require installation).

Launch the program, and in the main window you can immediately find out everything about your video card (and at the same time, the processor, motherboard and hard drive).

What should the temperature of the video card be?

So, you installed one of the programs, looked at what it shows and... What's next? What is the normal temperature of a video card? How to understand: is it heating up or not?

The maximum permissible temperature of a video card differs slightly depending on:

  • manufacturer (Nvidia and AMD);
  • type of cooling (active and passive);
  • operating mode (on the desktop or during the game).

Nvidia and AMD video cards can have either active or passive cooling. But in general, the general picture regarding normal temperature should be clear.

The video card on the laptop overheats: what to do?

What to do if you find that the video card on your laptop or computer is overheating? Urgent action needs to be taken:

  1. Perform dust cleaning. Most often, overheating occurs due to its large quantity. Therefore, it is recommended to disassemble your PC or laptop to clean it from dust.
  2. Check the condition of the thermal paste. It is responsible for cooling the video card. Therefore, when it dries out, the GPU temperature will increase sharply even in idle mode. In this case, you need to apply new layer thermal paste.
  3. Check coolers. They may be faulty or perform poorly due to dust.
  4. Check the power supply. If it is faulty, it can lead to problems with the video card (i.e. overheating).

If you can do it all yourself, great. If not, ask your friends or service center for help.

It's no secret that any device powered by electrical energy, generates heat, whether it is a phone, TV or PC. In modern personal computers, some components heat up to very high temperatures, sometimes even above the boiling point of water.

Obviously, the higher the temperature at which the device operates, the shorter its service life, since it has to withstand additional loads when overheating.

Cooling systems and overheating

Modern computers are equipped with cooling systems, the main task of which is to remove excess heat from PC components.

A wide variety of cooling systems (CO) are used. Airborne COs with forced ventilation, consisting of radiators and fans, have become widespread. Liquid and freon units are also used. Overclockers (overclocking enthusiasts) – when overclocking processors, they even use open evaporation to achieve low temperatures.

Despite the presence of such systems, very often the motherboard and PC hardware components, be it desktop computer or laptop, operate at very high temperatures. The central processor is especially susceptible to this. This can happen for several reasons:

  1. Failure of the cooling system. Fan failure, loss of properties of thermal paste (thermal paste) due to long-term use, and so on.
  2. The accumulation of household dust on the elements of the cooling system prevents the passage of hot air and the outflow of heat.
  3. Long-term work with critical loads.

For safety reasons, when the PC nodes overheat, the central processor stops Windows operation. High temperatures often lead to failure of computer components. Therefore, it is very important to control the operating temperature in order to detect overheating in time and eliminate its causes.

There is quite a lot for this large number software tools that display on the screen the temperature values of computer components, fan speed, operating supply voltage and much other useful information. In this article we will look at the most popular of them.

HWMonitor

The tool was developed by a company whose laboratory owns programs such as CPU-Z and PC-Wizard. The product is distinguished by its lightness and completeness of displayed information, including temperature, voltage, clock frequency and much more in a very easy-to-read form.

As we can see, the program displays not only the current value for each position, but also the minimum and maximum since launch.

HWMonitor is constantly updated to support the latest hardware. There are no additional functions, such as adjusting the fan speed, setting warning signals, except for saving the current parameters in text file, but for simple display all relevant values better program can't be found.

IMPORTANT: HWMonitor uses a minimum of system resources to operate compared to similar programs.

There are both installers for 32 and 64-bit Windows, as well as portable versions for these systems. The utility exists in paid and free versions. Feature set free version quite enough to control the basic parameters of the computer.

Speedfan

Speedfan is a time-tested utility that has its own army of fans. The program is deservedly considered one of the best tools for monitoring the temperature of almost any PC node, fan speed.

In addition, Speedfan allows you to control the rotation speed of coolers, increasing it for better cooling or decreasing it to reduce the noise from their operation. Limit values can be set for temperatures, upon reaching which the program will warn the user. In addition, the program reads SMART data of the hard drive.

The data read by the program can also be displayed graphically:

IMPORTANT: sometimes the program produces data that can throw the user into panic. For example, the temperature of a node at 100° or the rotation speed of a cooler at 500,000 rpm. Don't be alarmed, these numbers are not true. There is simply no sensor responsible for these readings.

Open Hardware Monitor

We said above that it is difficult to find a program that more conveniently and more fully displays all necessary information about the temperature and operating features of PC nodes than HWMonitor. But still, there was a tool that, apparently, surpasses it. This is Open Hardware Monitor. In addition to temperatures, fan speeds, and voltages, it can also display detailed CPU and GPU frequencies, the load they're running under, memory and hard drive information, and more.

If we add to this the ability to provide visually selected data in the form of graphs and a gadget on the desktop, then we will understand all the advantages of this tool.

Each value can also be renamed or hidden, and some data have an Options button for adjusting things like offset and so on. Open Hardware Monitor is a portable program and to gain access to all features, the program must be run as an administrator.

HWiNFO64

HWiNFO64, unlike previous programs, is a tool of wider, one might even say professional, application. It is designed to fully diagnose your computer and obtain complete information about hardware components. This application is free and can be downloaded from the official website as follows: installation file, and in the form of a portable portable version that does not require installation.

When we first launch, we will see two windows. The first of these provides complete information about the following components:

  1. central processor;
  2. motherboard;
  3. hard drive;
  4. RAM;
  5. graphics processor;
  6. operating system;

In this window we see detailed information about the architecture of the main components of the computer, their characteristics, etc. But this is not the only thing that HWiNFO64 offers us.

The main window shows us information about all components and also allows us to access additional functions of the application:

By selecting any component on the left, on the right we will get complete information about it technical information. In this way we will be able to know, for example, the exact model of each component in order to update its drivers. Also at the top of the window we will have access to the additional “Sensors” function, which will allow us to monitor the operation of the equipment on the screen.

As we can see, HWiNFO64 is a tool, functional and easy to use, thanks to which we can always get all the information about hardware our computer.

Speccy

Speccy is a free Windows monitoring tool developed by Piriform, the makers of well-known applications such as , Recuva and Defraggler.

A personal computer is a complex and expensive piece of equipment that requires timely and high-quality maintenance. Dust, long-term operation without cleaning the cooling system and replacing thermal paste leads to the fact that computer components operate in unfavorable conditions at temperatures significantly exceeding permissible values. This leads to rapid wear and failure of the central processor, video card, memory, motherboard and other components.

In this article we have told you about several software tools, which will allow you to always be aware of the status of your PC components, which in turn will allow you to make timely decisions about their maintenance. We hope that this information will help you choose the most suitable program for you, and with its help you will significantly extend the life of your computer.

Programs for monitoring processor and video card temperatures updated: January 28, 2018 by: admin

Checking the temperature of the main PC components is a task that needs to be solved extremely rarely. And not everyone will benefit from such an experience. It’s another matter if the software starts to work unstable, the computer crashes or unexpectedly turns off by itself. Especially when such problems appear only in applications that use the maximum amount of machine resources. A program for the processor and video card is the first thing that will help in diagnosing such problems.

Main signs of overheating

As mentioned above, checking temperature is a fairly rare operation. Usually it is required when testing hardware without overheating. Reasons for such suspicion may be:

If one or more of the above symptoms appear, you must use a program to measure the temperature of the processor and video card. Identifying problems of this kind at the initial stage of their formation can save you from many troubles in the future.

Sometimes, when an alarm signal is received, some users may advise you to remove the computer cover and try to touch each element of the machine to check whether the temperature level is within acceptable limits. Under no circumstances should you act like this!

  • Firstly, you can simply get burned. It happens that under load the video card core heats up to 120. Moreover, sometimes the manufacturer indicates that values in this range are normal and will not harm the device.
  • Secondly, there is a risk of injury electric shock. Someone will say: “What’s terrible there - it’s only 12 Volts.” Do not underestimate this voltage, especially since the current can reach so many amperes that you won’t want to look under the cover if it breaks for a long time.
  • Thirdly, you can damage expensive equipment. Moving a component or touching a hanging wire to an exposed area of the boards can sometimes cause a short circuit. If the power supply is protected at a high level, the computer will simply turn off. If the power supply is not the most expensive, something will burn out.

And lastly: the program will show the user exact data that can be remembered or recorded. Some applications allow you to keep logs. They will record all readings over time. This makes troubleshooting easier.

Well, now - a mini-review.

HWMonitor

A small application that can do nothing but display temperature, frequency and voltage indicators of system elements. What is important is that it is absolutely free. There is a professional version, for which you will have to pay a little money, but the functionality of the regular one is quite enough for the average user.

After installation and launch, the program for measuring processor temperature will display a small window with four columns:

  • In the first (sensor) you can see the name of the monitoring element.
  • The second (value) will indicate the temperature value in present moment time.
  • In the third (min), the application saves the minimum parameter. That is, if during operation of the software a temperature range from 37 to 70 degrees was recorded, then the number 37 will be recorded in this scale.
  • And in the last one (max), the application will show the maximum value observed during its operation.

SpeedFan

Another small measuring program is SpeedFan. Distributed absolutely free. Has the support of almost everyone modern devices, this is facilitated by frequent software updates by the developer.

Once SpeedFan is downloaded, installed and launched, its main window will open. It will contain all the main information. First, pay attention to the right side, where the device temperatures are located:

  • HD0 (instead of zero there can be any other index) - hard drive.
  • CPU - overall temperature of the central processor.
  • CORE - CPU core temperature.
  • MB - RAM.
  • GPU is the core of a video card.

Monitoring the operation of cooling systems in SpeedFan

The left side of the window shows the speed of coolers installed inside the system unit. Information will be displayed only about those devices that have a built-in tachometer. This approach is very convenient. You can compare the number of revolutions per minute when the PC is idle and under load. If the CPU temperature software shows the same number in both cases, it probably needs replacing. Typically, when running resource-intensive programs, the speed of the coolers increases along with the frequency of the central processor.

MSI Afterburner

MSI Afterburner differs from the previous described products in that this program for measuring the temperature of the processor and video card is in Russian. Its main application is overclocking the graphics adapter, however, the monitoring tools in the application are also convenient.

After installation, the main window will open. The interface is made with a twist and will be unusual for the average user. But for us, the program is interesting not because of its design, but because of its information content. The right circle will show the temperature of the graphics adapter. At this time, the lower field displays many graphs that can be scrolled through using the regular scroll bar.

This program for measuring processor temperature for Windows 7 has flexible settings, because not everyone needs the information that is provided by default. To change the number of graphs and their sets, you need to go to the settings by clicking on the gear icon. Then you will need to go to the “Monitoring” tab, where you can check or uncheck the required items.

By clicking the "Minimize" button, you will see that the application will hide in the tray. When running full-screen video games or programs that use a video accelerator, the temperature of the video card will be displayed in the upper left corner on top of all windows. This approach is very convenient for testing the device under load.

AIDA64

Perhaps the most famous program for measuring processor temperature in Russian. I must say that this is not all of its functionality. The application provides the most comprehensive information about the hardware, from that which the driver allows you to obtain, and ending with that provided by the BIOS and sensors installed in the controllers.

However, let's focus on the main thing - temperature monitoring. Pay attention to the character strip that is at the top. There is an icon with a diagram, you need to click on it. After clicking, a window will open with the default settings set by the program manufacturer. It must be said that the initial configuration monitors not all parts of the PC, but the most important ones.

You can change the number of graphs and configure them by clicking on the "Settings" button (or Preferences, if you are using the English version). In the utility that opens, it is possible to enable diagrams for each sensor inside the computer. For example, a program for measuring the temperature of a laptop processor and video card suggests choosing not just the CPU, but also each of its cores separately.

Stress test

It must be said that viewing information about the temperature of the main parts of the PC will not give anything if you perform the check during idle time (that is, with a minimum of programs running). If you run a “heavy” full-screen application, the system will shut down due to overheating, leaving the user wondering: was there really an excess of peak values or should the problem be looked for elsewhere?

This means that monitoring and booting the computer must be performed simultaneously. Not every measurement program provides such functionality. For example, Afterburner only displays information while running full-screen applications. Data in SpeedFan and HWMonitor can only be read when the user switches to their windows. AIDA64, in contrast, simplifies the task and allows you to run a stress test.

This name hides a special tool that will load the system to its maximum, showing the user how this affects the temperature of the devices and their power consumption.

Running the test

To run this check, click on the same charts icon. Pay attention to the upper left corner of the window. There is a list of devices, and there are checkboxes next to them. This identifies the components that will be tested. It is advisable not to apply such measures to the hard drive, although this is possible.

After checking the boxes, click on the "Start" button. At this time, computer testing will begin. It is advisable not to leave the monitor at this time and follow the diagrams. If the bar of any graph sharply creeps up and exceeds a critical value, it is better to immediately disable the test to avoid equipment breakdown, because the problem can be considered identified.

It is because of the implementation of the stress test that many believe that AIDA64 is best program for measuring processor temperature in Russian.

There are very often questions on the Internet: why the computer reboots on its own, causing the device to freeze and turn off immediately, what to do if the monitor does not work stably.

The first thing you think about is the presence of viruses, but in most cases the problem is overheating of the processor or video card. In this article we will look at practical and easy to use software for displaying temperature indicators.

Monitoring CPU temperature - why?

The temperature of the processor or video card in operating condition is constantly changing. Overheating may cause your computer or laptop to suddenly shut down, resulting in data loss. Therefore, if you want to avoid critical temperatures and prevent equipment damage, you must use special software. With their help, you can monitor the temperature indicators of the heating of the processor, video card, and hard drive at the time of their operation.

Programs for checking processor temperature

You can check the temperature by going into the BIOS. To do this you need to reboot operating system, while turning on the computer, press the “F2” or “Delete” key, depending on the device version. After entering the BIOS, you need to find the “H/W Monitor” section and select it. After which, the temperature indicators of the hardware components will be displayed.

The main disadvantage is that there is no way to see the temperature while the computer is running and its load. Therefore, next we will look at the most useful software products.

HWMonitor

"HWMonitor" is a program for monitoring the temperature of the processor and video card. It also allows you to find out the fan speed and voltage data. This program can be downloaded from the official website.

To measure the processor temperature:

  1. Launch the program.
  2. After launching the application, all main devices will be displayed: processor, hard drive, integrated and discrete video cards, laptop battery.
  3. Having opened all processor items, the current maximum and minimum temperature values collected during PC operation will be displayed. The following items relate to the processor: voltage, temperature, load level, as well as its frequency.
  4. About the hard drive, only its temperature is indicated.
  5. Next come integrated and discrete video cards. The program shows the temperature and frequency for the integrated one; in the discrete mode, load is displayed instead of frequency.
  6. The battery item is indicated only for a laptop; the voltage consumption, power and battery wear levels are displayed here.

AIDA 64 Extreme Edition

"AIDA 64 Extreme Edition" is an extensive complex of diagnostics and testing of computer hardware components. The program has many features:

  • real-time monitoring of hardware parts and system components computer;
  • computer hardware testing;
  • diagnostics of components for problems and errors;
  • analysis of systems and application programs;
  • Monitoring temperature, voltage and fans.

It should be said that the program is paid. Its trial version is limited to 30 days of use - this is the main disadvantage.
This utility can be downloaded from the official website. Checking the processor temperature is as follows:

  1. After installing the program, launch it by double-clicking on the shortcut.
  2. In the window that opens, double-click on the “Computer” item and select “Sensors” from the list that opens.
  3. Will open detailed information about all components of the computer equipped with a temperature sensor, including the main ones: “CPU” ( CPU) and “GPU” (Video card).

MSI AfterBurner

MSI AfterBurner is a multifunctional utility that is aimed at monitoring video card performance. It is often used by gamers to overclock the graphics card and monitor the following indicators:

  • increase clock frequency memory;
  • cooler rotation adjustment;
  • FPS monitoring (a number indicating how many times per second GPU updates the image);
  • notification of increased critical temperature values.

Download this program You can go to the developers' website using this link. Let's look at the main parameters of the program:

What to do if the temperature is elevated?

The normal temperature during operation of the processor is considered to be up to 60 degrees, for a video card - up to 80 degrees.

If you find a problem with devices overheating, then consider the primary solutions:

  1. First, turn off your computer or quit the program that is causing it to overheat.
