Mobile payment systems in foreign countries. Features of foreign payment systems. Russian and foreign payment systems

Plastic cards as a type of payment have existed in international practice for a long time and are widely used. Their first users were foreign corporations (trading companies). The first card used for payments in restaurants and retail outlets was the Diners Club, which appeared in the United States in the late 40s. It signed agreements with 285 merchants and 35,000 cardholders, who were charged $3 per year for using the card. Subsequently, the system continued to develop both geographically and through the commercial network. At first, commercial and service enterprises did not take payment cards very well, because, firstly, it undermined the position of their own branded cards, and secondly, because of the need to pay a commission to the company and the i-em entity.

The main difficulties began with the entry of competitors into the market: the Carte Blanche system (which was originally a private card of the Hilton Hotel Corporation and was later sold to the First National City Bank) and the American Express card. Around the same time, the British Hotel and Restaurant Association began issuing the BHR credit card, which, although not a bank card, was still universal. This system, merging with its Swedish competitor Rikskort, established the company Eurocard International* (Eurocard Internationa!) with headquarters in Sweden. The competition of American card associations continues to this day in both the USA and Europe.

Currently, there are several types of international and Russian payment systems, which are actually issuers and distributors of plastic bank cards.

International payment systems include the following: Eurocard, Visa,

Master Card, Europay, Cirrus/Maestro, Diners Club, Union Card.

The first Soviet issuer of international cards was Vnesh-Econombank, which issued “golden” Eurocard cards in 1989. The release of these plastic cards was very limited, and they were intended for a narrow circle of people. The first Russian commercial bank to issue its own Visa card in 1991 was Kredobank. But despite the fact that Kredobank joined the Eurocard/Mastercard association, it never began issuing these cards along with Visa, explaining this by a ban from the Eurocard/Mastercard association (later Europe),

Since 1993, Europe has seriously changed its tactics in Russia. The company has intensified the acceptance of Russian banks as members of the association; an office was opened in Moscow to work with them. The Association of Russian Members of Europe was created, which currently helps to effectively resolve general and technical issues for banks.

Expanding its cooperation with Mastercard, Eurocard entered into an agreement with the companies Cirrus and Maestro (Cirrus/Maestro), which made it possible to expand the range of services offered to customers through cards for receiving cash from ATMs.

Until today, a significant part of the commercial network for accepting cards of international payment systems (except for American Express) is serviced by the United Credit Card Company (UCC), for which the English abbreviation UCS (United Card Service) is more often used.

In 1999-2000 The Russian association "Visa" is created. A notable event was the creation of the Diners Club Russia company, the Russian founder, and subsequently the settlement bank of which was Imperial Bank (now Slavyansky Bank),

Some banks have taken the path of signing agency agreements with foreign financial institutions, i.e. began to offer their clients plastic cards issued by foreign banks. There are still doubts about the legality of such activities, primarily from the point of view of the internal rules of Visa and Europe itself. This practice continues today.

In the few years since the appearance of the first international card issued by a Russian bank, the market has changed dramatically: the number of cards issued is approaching a million. Russia has become a full-fledged region in international card payment systems. There are dozens of local, regional and interregional payment systems operating on the territory of Russia, not to mention the leading international ones. The number of cardholders of Russian payment systems amounts to many hundreds of thousands. Tens of thousands of card acceptance points throughout the country work with bank cards of national and international payment systems. The Visa Association, into which the first Russian bank (Sberbank of the Russian Federation) was admitted in 1988, today cooperates with 45 Russian banks. Assessing the situation on the market for domestic Russian cards, one can note a steady increase in the number of plastic cards and cash balances stored on them.

Currently, two groups of payment systems operate simultaneously on the Russian “plastic” market: foreign (international) and domestic. Moreover, Russian payment systems, such as STB Card, Union Card, Volga or Zolotaya Korona, due to the low cost of their tariffs, are ahead of a number of international companies in the number of cards issued in Russia.

Foreign. There are three of them here. In fact, there are many more of them, but let’s look at the main and most famous ones. The first is libertyreserve.com, an American payment system, which was originally written for pyramids, which successfully disappeared over time, but the system remains and is alive closed by American authorities for activities in pyramid schemes and money laundering. The entire payment interface is in English, so when registering, use a translator and fill out all data in English letters, taking into account transliteration. Registration takes place in two stages, where in the second stage your wallet number and login password will be sent to your mailbox. Be sure to write down all passwords, PIN codes and master codes given to you and do not lose them - technical support in the system is only formal, getting an answer from it is like getting a fish to talk. I recommend writing your control welcome phrase in Russian - you will see it yourself when you log into your account. Attention! If, when you log in, you see a greeting phrase that is not yours, or it is cut off, or otherwise changed - do not continue to login, otherwise you very much risk giving away all your login information (and with it your money) to scammers! They often take advantage of the fact that the payment site is in English, creating fake sites that look exactly like the original and thus collecting data and money from gullible citizens. The system also never sends emails asking you to log into your account for anything - remember that! Payments in the system are instant and irreversible! The commission (it is small - 0.5%) for the transfer is paid by the recipient of the money. Currency – dollar, euro and the equivalent of a gram of gold. It looks like a good payment card, but for some reason it doesn’t inspire confidence.

The second American payment system is payza (formerly alertpay). Registration is also in English, so also fill out the data in English letters with transliteration. Your email is your username to log into the system. The system has the ability to link a plastic card to an account for withdrawing money. A big advantage, and probably one that no other system has, is that payza protects its users from scammers, which many people take advantage of when playing with HYIPs. If you have been scammed, write a letter to support (in English!) indicating the amount, date, object of transfer and wait for your funds to be returned. If the object is a fraudster, then there is a high probability of getting your money back. The system works with CIS countries.

The third system is paypal, also American. Twin brother of payza, so there's not much to talk about. The only difference between the system is that there is a Russian-language site interface, but don’t let this mislead you - when registering, you need to enter data only in English letters! The principle of operation is the same as that of payza, with the difference that the payment system is more closed and “does not like” (already likes) CIS citizens.

Few people can imagine life without electronic money. With their help, you can make purchases in online stores, pay bills, purchase tickets, transfer funds from one card to another with a lower percentage. What are the most popular payment systems? A list of them is presented below.

List of payment systems

Many people liked the idea of paying for their expenses using electronic money. The main purpose of payment systems (the list will be presented later) is instant settlement with a bank or seller. Nowadays there are a lot of electronic resources, but not all of them inspire delight and trust among the majority of citizens. So, here are the most popular domestic and international payment systems:

  • "Yandex money";
  • "Mail.ru.Money";
  • Webmoney;
  • PayPal;
  • Visa;
  • MasterCard;
  • "World";
  • Perfect money;
  • Money mail;
  • "PRO100";
  • Qiwi;
  • Alipay.

This is not a complete list of services for payment with electronic money. But they are most often used by clients. Below are the TOP 5 systems that have won the trust of consumers.

"Yandex money"

In the Russian Federation it is considered the most famous. The main currency is the ruble, but this did not affect its great popularity among the population. It is upsetting that Yandex.Money does not allow its clients to pay for services and goods abroad. However, Russian online stores prefer domestic electronic payment systems. According to statistics, Yandex.Money occupies a leading position in paying for services and goods on the World Wide Web in the vastness of our homeland.

The advantages of this system include the possibility of replenishing an account by transferring funds from an individual. In addition, a definite advantage is the simple and intuitive functionality.

Webmoney

International payment systems, for example, Webmoney, are also in demand. This service offers payments in various currencies. However, the high reliability of the system does not compensate for the complexity of registration. This is why many beginners prefer to turn to another service “for help.” High security for clients is an important aspect when conducting financial transactions. This is exactly what Webmoney guarantees.

Although the service has many advantages, its popularity abroad is not as high as in Russia and the CIS countries. According to many users who refused to use this system, the currency exchange process is very inconvenient. Secure payment systems, the list of which is presented and which includes Webmoney, must sacrifice convenience in the name of the reliability of monetary transactions.

PayPal

The oldest one has also joined the most popular electronic payment systems. This is PayPal. It was founded in 1998. The advantages of the service include the variety of currencies with which you can carry out monetary transactions. There are about 24 species in total. According to experts, the PayPal system is used in 190 countries around the world. By the way, this is the service that buyers prefer to use when paying for orders in foreign online stores. In addition, it is rare that a virtual auction is completed without paying PayPal.

Why is this system so popular? Its high reliability and convenient functionality have won the hearts of millions of users. Disadvantages include the inability of clients to enter their personal data. Also, not all countries accept electronic money from PayPal.

"World"

In 2014, the government of the Russian Federation decided to create a service completely independent of Visa and MasterCard. The reason for this decision was the imposition of sanctions on domestic enterprises and banks. This is how the national payment system “Mir” (NPS) appeared. It is designed in the most careful way to ensure convenience, accessibility and reliability for transactions for all residents of Russia. The service belongs to the Central Bank of the country. NPS developers guarantee the uninterrupted and secure performance of various types of transactions using bank cards. Thanks to the “World” service, you can perform standard operations, namely:

  • cash withdrawal;
  • making mobile and contactless payments;
  • payment for purchases in retail chains.

The main advantage of the NPS is considered to be the impossibility of the situation in the international arena to influence the current state of affairs. Accordingly, Russian citizens do not have to worry about accessing their savings and funds to pay for services and goods.

Visa

Visa is a payment system widely used in America and Australia. If you try to pay with this card in Europe, sometimes problems with the terminal may arise, since here they prefer to use a direct competitor to MasterCard. However, according to statistics, the Visa service is used by 70% of clients, while its “rival” is used by only 30%.

Today, this card is accepted in 166 thousand places throughout Russia and in 36 thousand ATMs. Visa is accepted for payment in 200 countries around the world. This service is truly considered the largest and most famous.

Clients of the system can order one of the types (or maybe all types) of Visa:

  • Visa Electron;
  • Visa Classic;
  • Visa Gold;
  • Visa Platinum.

The presence of so many types of cards allows us to attribute this fact to the undeniable advantages of the system. Thanks to this, you can quickly make purchases, order tickets and pay for them immediately.

As already mentioned, the payment systems, the list of which was presented in this article, are very convenient for carrying out standard financial transactions. However, experts recommend not keeping all your savings in electronic form, since there are now a lot of scammers on the Internet.

I would call 8 electronic payment systems the best in the world. They will be discussed today in this article.

This is truly a national payment system.

In it you can create wallets for all popular Runet currencies (dollar, ruble, hryvnia, tenge), while maintaining a high degree of anonymity. Here the wallet interface is Russified and it is possible to communicate with technical support in Russian. Agree that this is very convenient.

OKPay
is a very young international payment system, but this did not stop it from becoming popular in the West, here, and in the post-Soviet space. The link (just like in PayPal) goes to your Email address, which is the logo in this payment system. Minor or even zero commission is charged for transactions. Withdrawals are possible to bank details or to an OKPay debit card linked to the account.

OKPay is an alternative to the untimely departed Liberty Reserve because it also turns a blind eye to the withdrawal of money from various “pyramids” and gambling. There are restrictions on payments here, but this only applies to non-verified accounts. Here, just like in Perfect Money, as much as 3% is added to the balance of money in the account. You must agree, this is very unusual for electronic wallets.

Payza (Alert pay)– another anonymous electronic wallet. Anyone can open it. The company was formed recently by merging Alert pay and another similar system. The movement of funds from it is carried out by linking a bank card to it. Payza in Russia is mainly used to receive online money earned abroad. Sometimes there is a problem with the output, but this problem is quickly resolved.

When choosing a foreign electronic payment system, you must know English well. The most popular services are Payoneer, PayPal, AlertPay. The main disadvantage of working with foreign systems is the complex process of withdrawing funds.

Withdrawing income from foreign systems is quite difficult due to their lack of payment services used in our country. In Western countries, the world-famous electronic payment system PayPal, which is part of the eBay auction, is recognized as the most popular.

Foreign payment systems

The main task of any payment system is to make payments for goods and services purchased through the global network. First of all, you must have a personal PayPal account into which your earnings will be deposited.

The main difficulty is the lack of a procedure for withdrawing funds from PayPal in Russia. A bank card must be linked to your account, but it is used to top up your account or make expense transactions.

Of course, Russian craftsmen found a way out. There are sites on the RuNet that use not entirely clean methods to withdraw funds from PayPal to one of the Russian electronic systems, for example, Webmoney.

The percentage charged for such operations varies from 9 to 20, depending on the specific service. But it is worth considering that their activities are completely illegal and you are exposing your funds to quite a serious risk.

A way out of this situation may be to open an account in a bank in a country in which withdrawal of funds is possible.

But to make large monetary transactions, you must be a citizen of the specified country; for stateless users, a limit on withdrawals of funds is set in the amount of 2,500 euros within one calendar year.

At the same time, among foreign electronic payment systems there are those that can be used to easily withdraw your income to Russian banks. Such a system is AlertPay, which works with MasterCard and VisaClassic cards.

However, it must be taken into account that the account opened in the bank must be in dollars.

Another foreign service that allows you to withdraw money in Russia is Payoneer. This system uses a virtual account to which you can link a Payoneer MasterCard. This option is ideal for all users working on American exchanges.

If you know how to work well, then you can earn money anywhere, but it is much easier to do it in your homeland. Of course, you have the right to make your own choice...
