As for network interfaces, the BQ Tablet PC 1012G is equipped with Wi-Fi and 3G modules. The official website also claims the presence of Bluetooth, but no traces of it could be found, as well as the FM and GPS modules, which are also mentioned there.

Cellular networks can be used for both making calls and accessing the Internet. Again, by official version The tablet may work with two SIM cards, but this is not the case. There is only one slot on the device for this purpose.

In addition to all of the above, the gadget is equipped with a built-in microphone and two cameras.

The official version of the battery capacity is 6000 mAh. I don’t know how accurate this figure is. After such volumes of misinformation, it is difficult to trust anything. But I can say with confidence that the battery charge is enough for six and a quarter hours of video viewing. True, for a modern tablet this result can only be called satisfactory. Well, or good, but at a stretch, since for modern budget tablets eight to nine hours of work in this mode have already become the norm.

Externally, the BQ Tablet PC 1012G looks attractive. Its front side is black, and the metal bottom is painted silver.

The build quality is excellent, and the ergonomics are in perfect order. Holding the tablet in your hands is very comfortable.

The compartment cover is attached to the body with thin and unreliable-looking strips of transparent plastic. However, it is possible that they are stronger than they seem, especially if you do not pull on them.

On the bottom, in the top center, there is a second camera with a resolution of 2 megapixels. I believe it was originally planned to equip this model with a flash, since next to the camera there is a characteristic hole covered with a cap. Yes, and this flash is indicated in the characteristics. It is possible that there are various modifications, but nothing is said about this.

There is a single speaker located directly below the camera. Its quality, in principle, is tolerable, and the volume is also okay, but it is the same with all the ensuing consequences.

The Internet tablet BQ Tablet PC 1012G runs on the Android 4.2.2 operating system. With installation of additional software the manufacturer didn't bother much. The bare minimum of software is installed. But Google Play works great and everything you need installs from there in minutes. At this moment you can just make sure that network interfaces work as expected.

After installing the standard gentleman's kit, we proceed to extensive field tests.

Internet surfing is fine. Even in standard browser pages open very quickly, although, of course, this largely depends on the signal level and the connected tariff plan.

However, at this stage I encountered a small problem. On the default on-screen keyboard There are only thirty-one letters in the Russian layout. There are no “Yo”, which can still be survived, and “Ъ”, which, of course, is no good.

But since you can install any keyboard you like yourself, I don’t see a big problem in this. Moreover, today there is plenty to choose from.

Online video works fine. I watched a few videos on YouTube and was quite pleased. Everything is fine with online TV too. True, I only turned it on for about half an hour, but if there are any problems with this, then during this time they usually appear. So it's okay.

The microphone is very weak. You won't be able to use your tablet as a voice recorder. However, the instructions say that the microphone should be kept no further than thirty centimeters from the mouth. But when making video calls via Skype, burying your face in the tablet is also not an option. Especially considering the location of the microphone.

The situation with cameras is very interesting. As is often the case with inexpensive models, their quality is far from perfect. In particular, color rendition is poor, and the lack of autofocus leads to a decrease in image clarity.

But the BQ Tablet PC 1012G has one more problem that I have never encountered on other tablets. To take a photo with the rear camera, you need to hold the tablet motionless for a few seconds after releasing the shutter.

At first glance, it seems that the photo is already ready. A thumbnail even appears in the interface. But if you change the position of the gadget at this moment, the picture will be ruined.

Interestingly, the front camera is completely devoid of this drawback. The only thing you can show her is distorted colors. And, of course, low resolution does not contribute to high clarity.

Skype works relatively well. Despite the weak microphone, there is enough audibility for communication. Your interlocutor may have to turn up the volume on his device, but these are technical details.

The main thing is that the Internet connection is stable. Otherwise, the picture on the screen may become blurry. But this complaint is no longer about the tablet.

Performance is one of the most pleasant factors for which a gadget can be forgiven a lot. The power of the BQ Tablet PC 1012G sometimes makes you forget that we are dealing with a budget device, since demanding games run perfectly on it.

The AnTuTu Benchmark application rated the performance level of the tested tablet at 12,239 points. For comparison, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 was rated by the same program at 18,088 points. And when budget tablet can be compared with the recent flagship, it's not just good, it's excellent.

The package includes a tablet, network adapter, Micro-USB/USB cable for synchronizing the gadget with a personal computer, user manual and warranty card.

Interestingly, when synchronizing with a computer, the battery is charged at the same time. This raises the question: why did the manufacturer need to make a separate socket for an atypical adapter when it was possible to organize all this via a USB interface?

So, BQ Tablet PC 1012G is a very attractive tablet with good ergonomics, light weight and high quality assemblies. It has an excellent screen with high-quality images, good sensitivity and wide viewing angles.

The main advantage of the device is its powerful hardware, providing high performance.

But there are also many disadvantages. For example, a small amount of its own memory or operating time without recharging. I believe that for a modern tablet this figure is lower than it should be, about three hours. Although everyone is free to have their own opinion on this issue.

One speaker is also a significant drawback. I don’t even remember the last time I saw such savings. The main thing is that there is plenty of space. Why bother so much?

Cameras are another drawback. Especially the back one. The microphone is also weak.
