Rating of productive smartphones. The most powerful smartphones. Which Android smartphone to buy

In 2019, OnePlus introduced new smartphone. It turned out to be OnePlus 7 T Pro. The phone has impressive characteristics and an adequate price. This gadget will be discussed in today’s article.

The device's screen refresh rate reaches 90 Hz. This is an excellent indicator for 2019. The display of the OnePlus 7 T Pro smartphone has the following advantages:

  1. High backlight brightness. It is 500 cd/m2.
  2. On a sunny day the screen does not fade.
  3. The smooth operation of the system is at the highest level.

Pay attention! The device is equipped with a high-quality AMOLED display, which provides best quality images.

Opening hours

OnePlus representatives took care of the autonomy of the new smartphone and installed a 4000 mAh battery in it. A very good indicator. This reserve is enough for a couple of days of active use of the phone.

The battery implements the following capabilities:

  1. You can play videos on the YouTube platform at maximum brightness for 17 hours.
  2. You can play on the device for 12 hours.
  3. Standby time 175 hours.
  4. Fast charging technology has been implemented.
  5. An adapter with a power of 20 watts is supplied with the device.

Additional information! The OnePlus 7 T Pro is a well-optimized smartphone that, if used correctly, will last for several years.

Cameras

The phone is equipped triple camera. The main lens of the smartphone is 48 MP. Front 16 MP. There is also optical and electronic stabilization when recording video. However, this function is available in all modern flagships. The camera interface includes a lot of functionality. There are a large number of shooting modes suitable for certain conditions. Night mode has also been updated.

The smartphone can record video in 4K mode. In this case, you can select the frame rate. Either 30 or 60 FPS.

Important! Videos on the OnePlus 7 T Pro can also be shot in Full HD resolution. In this case, the frame rate rises to 240 FPS. The smartphone also has a slow motion function. At the same time, the frame rate reaches 960 per second.

Hardware

The smartphone is equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor. The operating frequency of this “Dragon” reaches 2.96 GHz. The graphics accelerator is Adreno 640. The phone has 8 GB of RAM. But the internal one can be either 128 GB or 256 GB. These are very good indicators. The OnePlus 7 T Pro processor is capable of solving any modern task. The phone meets the requirements of the average user.

Pay attention! The developers of the new flagship decided to abandon the 3.5 mm headphone jack. For some users, the lack of such a connector can be a serious problem. Also, the smartphone is not protected from water. However, the phone, like the OnePlus 7 Pro, has NFC. In Antutu, the gadget scores 387,000 points.

Differences from OnePlus 7 Pro

The previous model has an order of magnitude lower characteristics:

  1. OnePlus 7 Pro is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.
  2. 3700 mAh battery.
  3. There is no particular difference in the cameras.
  4. OnePlus 7 Pro has a large memory range. There are options with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory.

Price and release date

The release date of the smartphone was September 28, 2019. In Russia, such a phone costs about 45,000 rubles. Excellent price-performance ratio.

Thus, OnePlus 7 T Pro can be called one of the most powerful smartphones in the world today. The phone is only slightly inferior to the iPhone 11, the price of which is an order of magnitude higher.

The best Chinese smartphones according to Mobcompany in the first half of 2016

AnTuTu regularly publishes the TOP most powerful smartphones in the previous month. At the beginning of August, the report for July 2018 was presented to the public, including a selection of the most productive devices in the market. at the moment. Skeptics say that the selection is biased: whoever contributes the most is at the top. And we can talk about this for a long time.

Indeed, not all devices that are the most powerful at the moment are included in the report. Statistics are collected only for models tested more than 500 times per month. In addition, it is not the maximum result of a particular test that is given, but the average “parrot” indicator.

Since all (not even so: ALL) flagship smartphones are subject to throttling to one degree or another, the “average temperature in the hospital” can be much lower than the ideal result. Therefore, there is no obvious reason to talk about any bias. At the same time, thanks to comprehensive hardware testing, the top most powerful AnTuTu smartphones are of great interest.

Sony Xperia XZ2 - 10th place, 250293 points

Opens the ranking of the most powerful smartphones in AnTuTu for July 2018 Sony Xperia XZ2. This device, which went on sale in late spring, became the first flagship of the Japanese company with an 18:9 screen. It runs on the top Snapdragon 845 chipset. The RAM inside is 4 or 6 GB, the storage capacity is 64 GB.

In addition to power, the device attracts a 19 megapixel camera that supports recording short sections of video at 960 FPS, stereo speakers, and water protection. What’s disappointing is the large thickness (more than 11 mm in the thickest part) with a relatively small 3180 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy S9 – 9th place, 261787 points

Korean Samsung flagship Galaxy S9 consistently ranks among the top ten most powerful smartphones of 2018. However, AnTuTu does not specify which modification is faster: with the Exynos 9810 or Snapdragon 845 chipset. Most likely, average indicators are given. The device has 4 GB of RAM, 64, 128 or 256 GB of storage.

Samsung Galaxy S9 pleases with a curved AMOLED screen of high brightness, stereo speakers, and the presence of a 3.5 mm jack. Thanks to optimization, even a 3000 mAh battery is enough for decent autonomy. The battery supports fast and wireless charging. The smartphone itself is protected from water. This is not just one of the most powerful smartphones of 2018, but also one of the best flagships in general.

Samsung Galaxy S9+ - 8th place, 262579 points

Samsung Galaxy S9+ is a larger version of the flagship. It is equipped with identical hardware, except for the screen, RAM, camera and battery. The display is increased from 5.8 to 6.2 inches, the memory has a capacity of 6 GB, and the battery capacity has increased to 3500 mAh. The camera on board is double, with 12 megapixel matrices supporting 2x zoom. It was a couple of extra gigabytes of RAM that most likely allowed the Samsung Galaxy S9+ to slightly outstrip the smaller model in the list of the most powerful smartphones for July 2018.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S - 7th place, 262751 points

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is a slight improvement on the company's autumn flagship. It received a similar design, the same 6" screen, but got fresher hardware. The chipset inside is SD845, RAM 6 or 8 GB, storage - 64, 128 or 256 GB. The device's inclusion in the ranking of the fastest smartphones in July 2018 is quite natural .

Given the high test score, the question arises: will a 3400 mAh battery be too small? I don’t remember a single powerful Xiaomi flagship that, in terms of autonomy, would be as good as the simpler devices of this company. But I'm glad that at least wireless charging appeared here. It at least partially compensates for battery consumption.

Xiaomi Mi8 - 6th place, 272555 points

Xiaomi Mi8 is a newer model, therefore more optimized and delivering even more performance. At this place there should be Explorer version, but it was released recently and did not have time to stake out a place in the selection of the most powerful smartphones of July 2018. The SD845 chipset is used by both devices, but the top version of the Mi8 Explorer has 8 GB of RAM, while the regular one has “only” 6 GB.

The smartphone has a good dual camera, OLED screen, which should be economical when showing dark tones, but is not without its drawbacks. There are no stereo speakers, no 3.5mm jack, no wireless charging... well, you get the idea. And not everyone likes the unibrow design. Is it comparatively low price pleases.

Smartisan R1 - 5th place, 274729 points

Smartisan R1, this smartphone is probably the majority of readers, not to mention in the TOP 10 most powerful phones They didn’t expect to see July 2018, but they didn’t know anything about it either. But in China this company is popular and occasionally surprises. The chipset of Smartisan R1 is the same as that of its competitors in this rating, SD845. RAM is also the usual 6 or 8 GB. But the internal drive in the top configuration holds 1 TB!

The device is interesting for enthusiasts, but not adapted to our realities. After all, the firmware is intended for China, there are no localizations. And the device in the 1 TB version costs about $1,400. Therefore, you should rush to look for it only if you need the fastest smartphone with the largest amount of memory.

OnePlus 6 - 4th place, 282644 points

OnePlus 6 is another smartphone based on SD845, which was included in the TOP 10 AnTuTu for July 2018. In terms of hardware, this flagship is not surprising at all. The same as competitors, 6 or 8 GB of RAM, 64, 128 or 256 GB storage, elongated screen with a cutout, and a good dual camera.

It’s impossible to single out anything special about the OnePlus 6 (well, other than the fact that some users’ back panel cracked for no apparent reason). Just a solid Chinese flagship at an affordable price with its advantages, but not without its shortcomings.

Vivo Nex Ultimate - 3rd place, 283877 points

Vivo Nex Ultimate won bronze in the July 2018 ranking of the most powerful smartphones. In terms of hardware, it is identical to its rivals: SD845, 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. But the device’s screen has record thin frames, and the fingerprint scanner is integrated directly into the display matrix. Also notable is the pop-up selfie camera.

The sound during a conversation is transmitted by bone conduction (as in the first Mi Mix), and a Hi-Res DAC with an amplifier is responsible for the music. The device is also equipped with a 3.5 mm jack. This best option for those who love innovation, but also trust the old classics. For them, Vivo Nex Ultimate is not only the most powerful, but also one of the most technologically advanced smartphones.

Oppo Find X - 2nd place, 286589 points

The silver medalist in the ranking of the most powerful smartphones in July 2018 was the Oppo Find X, the “cousin” of the Vivo Nex. It has a similar frameless design and is equipped with identical hardware. The front camera is retractable, but its mechanism is implemented differently: it does not move out small block, and the whole “bang” is at the top. It also contains sensors for face unlocking.

The Oppo Find X does not have a fingerprint scanner, nor does it have a 3.5 mm jack. Therefore, this device is more suitable for lovers of innovation who are ready to experiment. Personally, when choosing between Oppo Find X and Vivo Nex, I still chose the second option.

Xiaomi Black Shark - 1st place, 292977 points

The most powerful smartphone of July 2018 according to AnTuTu is Xiaomi Black Shark. This device is created specifically for gamers as a competitor to the Razer Phone. It is equipped with an SD845 chipset, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB storage. The manufacturer claims to use a miniature heat pipe cooler to better cool the device and optimize the OS for games.

If the AnTuTu scores are not too high, the cooling efficiency and optimization are readily believed. It’s not for nothing that the device is quite thick (9.5 mm) by flagship standards. Xiaomi Black Shark is truly the most fast smartphone summer 2018, and only gadgets based on the next generation SoC can get ahead of it in the near future.

The ranking of the most powerful AnTuTu smartphones for July 2018 looks somewhat monotonous. In fact, all devices in it are based on the SD845 chip. It's boring and bad, because the lack of competition doesn't goes to the market for the benefit. Previously, the selection also included Apple gadgets, but now latest versions Benchmarks for Android and iOS award points differently. This means that you cannot compare them with each other.

Now it is not clear what is more powerful: Apple A11 or SD845. But Huawei with Kirin 970 is noticeably inferior to its competitor from Qualcomm. All we have to do is wait for the next chip to come out Chinese manufacturer and activation of Xiaomi on this basis.

A powerful smartphone is not necessarily a flagship. There are cool phones on the market with top-of-the-line hardware for little money. Next is the TOP 5 best mid-rangers with powerful flagship-level processors.

1st place – Pocophone F1

This is the world's cheapest phone with the flagship Snapdragon 845 processor. You won't find anything more affordable on the market with this chip, which makes Pocophone unique. For those who don’t know, Snapdragon 845 is the flagship processor that is installed on all TOP flagships like Samsung Note9, OnePlus 6T, Google Pixel 3 and others.

Xiaomi managed to create a smartphone for little money, cramming such a cool processor into it. It is built on a 10nm process technology and includes 8 cores divided into 2 clusters:

  • 4xKryo 385 (Cortex-A75) 2.8 GHz
  • 4xKryo 385 1.8 GHz

Plus there are Adreno 630 graphics, a Cat.18 LTE modem, 5 GHz Wi-Fi and a 32-bit LPDDR4X memory controller. The chip was released at the beginning of 2018, that is, it is almost a year old. However, there are no smartphones with the new Snapdragon 855 processor yet, which makes the SD845 TOP in the Qualcomm line.

Pocophone F1 is an excellent smartphone with a liquid cooling system that ensures effective heat dissipation through the plastic body. There is no NFC here, cheap manufacturing materials are the price to pay for cheapness. But the phone takes good photos with the Gcam (Google Camera) application, and has a cool IPS screen with accurate color reproduction. You will find examples of photos on camera and a review.

2nd place – Honor Play

If Pocophone is the most affordable smartphone with an SD845 processor, then Honor Play is the cheapest with a HiSilicon Kirin 970 chip.

This processor includes 8 cores divided into 2 clusters:

  • 4xCortex-A73 2.4 GHz
  • 4xCortex-A53 1.8 GHz

Also here GPU Mali-G72 MP12, 2-channel LPDDR4 memory controller and LTE modem with data transfer speeds up to 1.2 Gbit/s. And although the Kirin 970 is a flagship chip that is placed at the TOP Huawei phones, it is weaker than the competitive Snapdragon 845. Still, Honor Play can handle all games on Android and provides high speed.

The Kirin 980 and phones based on it have already been released, so devices based on the Kirin 970 have become cheaper; the same Honor Play is available for less than 20 thousand rubles. Plus, there is NFC, which was not in the Pocophone F1, therefore Honor Play is one of the cheapest smartphones with TOP hardware and Google Pay contactless payment technology.

3rd place – Xiaomi Mi 8

Mi 8 is the coolest flagship from Xiaomi after the more recent Mi Mix 3. Of course, it cannot be called budget, since the price exceeds 20 thousand rubles; on average you will have to pay 24-26 thousand “wooden” for it, but somewhere on Ali it costs 20-22 thousand.

After the Pocophone F1, this is the most affordable smartphone on the market with the flagship SD845 processor, plus an Amoled display, 2-band GPS, a glass body and an NFC chip for contactless payment. All these are advantages that Pocophone lacks, but they imply an increase in price.

Mi 8 also has a problem - ineffective heat removal from the processor, which leads to throttling in games and when performing complex tasks that place a lot of load on the processor. As a result, the body of the Xiaomi Mi 8 heats up, which can be felt by your hands. Plus, frequencies drop and performance drops after a while. In this regard, Pocophone F1 is better due to its liquid cooling technology.

Still, Xiaomi Mi 8 is the best budget flagship on the market with current technologies and a powerful SoC, although its potential is not 100% realized here.

4th place – Honor 10

Another phone with the Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor. As I wrote above, with the release of Kirin 980, phones based on the previous SoC became cheaper, including Honor 10, which is now available for the same money as Xiaomi Mi 8. But since Mi 8 is equipped with better hardware, which means it is higher in the ranking.

Honor 10 is made in a glass case, equipped with a 5.84-inch diagonal IPS display with Full HD+ resolution; on the back there are 2 cameras with resolutions of 16 + 24 megapixels and f/1.8 aperture. The device takes good photographs, but worse than Xiaomi Mi 8.

As befits a modern flagship, there is an NFC chip, fast charging technology, AC Wi-Fi and a USB Type-C connector. The phone is not new - it was released in mid-2018, and then it was TOP, but now it is no longer. At the beginning of 2019, this is one of the cheapest smartphones with the flagship hardware Kirin 970. It is approximately 4-5 thousand rubles more expensive than the Honor Play, so I put it in 4th place.

5th place – Meizu X8

The TOP is completed by the “mid-range” from Meizu. This is the most affordable phone in this review and the cheapest device based on the Snapdragon 710 processor.

This processor is designed for middle-class phones, which is the Meizu X8. It is built on the basis of 8 cores, divided into 2 clusters:

  • 2xCortex-A75 2.2 GHz
  • 6xCortex-A55 1.7 GHz

It also received integrated Adreno 616 graphics and an X15 LTE modem with a maximum download speed of up to 800 Mbps. This is the next processor in class after the SD660, and the Meizu X8 is so far the most affordable phone based on it. And although this is not a TOP chip, its resource is more than enough to run modern games on Android, plus it will ensure multitasking and smooth operation of the smartphone. Meizu X8 itself is equipped with an IPS screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 2-module camera of 12 + 5 MP, 4 or 6 GB of RAM.

There is no NFC, radio or slot for a microSD card, also not announced fast charging, but there is AC Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. Judging by the reviews, the device is suitable for gaming and on the market it is one of the best budget and powerful smartphones based on a mid-range SoC.

Please rate the article:

In this review, we will use the AnTuTu rating, which measures the performance of a particular smartphone with glasses. The procedure is simple: the more points, the more powerful the smartphone. But it’s difficult to say whether it’s faster, because the application is not able to “see” the speed of the system. However, we will take the AnTuTu rating as a basis, and the decision whether to believe the rating or not is entirely yours.

iPhone 8 Plus 3GB+256GB (217385 points)

One of the main new products from the iPhone company is a 5.5-inch smartphone, which has received a new body. Although it would be more correct to say updated, since its characteristics have hardly changed compared to the iPhone 7 Plus, however back cover now made of glass.

The fast charging function was present before, and now wireless charging has been added to it. The processor has also been updated - now it is Apple A11 Bionic, and the maximum internal memory reaches 256 GB.

The cameras on the iPhone 8 Plus are some of the best on the smartphone market.

iPhone 8 2GB+256GB (212175 points)

The next number is iPhone 8. The lag behind the larger model is probably due to the smaller amount of RAM (2 GB versus 3 GB), but the screen diagonal is smaller - 4.7 inches. In addition, the lag is so small that in reality, apparently, the difference in speed iPhone work 8 Plus and iPhone 8 will be almost impossible to notice.

OnePlus 5 6GB+64GB (181047 points)

Interestingly, the test involved a version with 6 GB of RAM, but a version with 8 GB of RAM on board is available for sale. Why it was not used for the test is unknown. However, even 181,047 points is simply a huge number.

OnePlus 5 is considered one of the most powerful smartphones on the planet, which is not surprising, given such a platform with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Screen diagonal is 5.5 inches, resolution is 1920x1080 pixels.

In addition to power, OnePlus 5 has an excellent rear camera.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (N950F) 4GB+64GB (178079 points)

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 based on the Exynos 9 Octa 8895 processor scored 178079 points - an excellent result! True, the official data indicates a combination of 4GB+64GB, that is, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal memory. This is probably a mistake because even in other countries the smartphone ships with 6GB of RAM.

As for everything else, this is a powerful flagship with a huge 6.3-inch display, fantastic functionality and even a stylus!

HTC U11 4GB+64GB (177501 points)

Now the previous flagship of HTC showed excellent results, which, however, is not very surprising, since it is still based on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

HTC U11 surprised us with the Edge Sense functionality: there is an area on the device’s body that is sensitive to compression. You can independently adjust the compression sensitivity and with a certain press, one or another functionality of the smartphone will be used. For example, the Camera application will launch.

Nubia Z17 6GB+64GB (175779 points)

This device is practically unknown to us, however, as you can see, it produces impressive results in AnTuTu.

Nubia Z17 has incredibly narrow side frames - so much so that the width of the body with a 5.5-inch display is only 72.38 millimeters. Please note that the upper and lower side frames are like those of conventional smartphones.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, memory capacity is 6 GB and 64 GB (RAM and built-in).

Nokia 8 4GB+64GB (175335 points)

It probably doesn’t even make much sense to say that new Nokia 8 is built on the same basis the most powerful processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 835?

The smartphone, by the way, turned out to be successful in all respects: an excellent display, an excellent camera with huge functionality, a powerful platform, a stylish aluminum body, a lot of various functions like support for fast charging or a fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 6GB+64GB (175162 points)

The first generation Mi Mix is considered one of the first mass-produced frameless smartphones.

The second generation received a smaller display, but you still can’t call it small - 5.99 inches. At the same time, the front camera is still located at the bottom of the front panel, because there was no room for it at the top. And here the back cover is made of ceramic.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (N950F) 6GB+64GB (173473 points)

Why are we repeating ourselves, the attentive reader will ask? We're not repeating ourselves, it's just that the Galaxy Note 8 comes with two different processors: the N950F version is powered by the Exynos 9 Octa 8895 processor, and the N950F is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. That's all the differences.

Xiaomi Mi6 6GB+128GB (173444 points)

When we wrote this article, the new generation flagship smartphone Xiaomi has not yet released, and Mi6, as some online publications write, is preparing to retire. And yet, even now it shows excellent results.

Well, we are waiting for the release of Mi7.

Bottom line

As it becomes clear, all of the above models have high performance indicators and are approximately identical in their power. However, each model in one way or another has advantages over the others.

Asus ROG PHONE and Xiaomi Black Shark are considered truly gaming gadgets, but it is the first one that will leave the gamer satisfied with both its appearance and gaming capabilities. Its complete package includes a large suitcase that is full of gaming peripherals. The second option will cost 2 times less, however, the gaming capabilities with such an acquisition will be relatively limited.

The iPhone XS Max boasts multitasking capabilities, looks, camera quality, and a trouble-free, if sparse, interface. Despite all these advantages, the price of a smartphone is exorbitant and it is for this reason that Apple products usually remain interesting for regular users who are willing to pay a lot of money for this device.

The same can be said about the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 - a good, powerful smartphone, made of very high quality and looks quite rich. Its smart pen will allow both creative individuals and businessmen to embody fleeting ideas in notes.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro was awarded the title “Cameraphone” - its photo and video recording is excellent. Besides this, his appearance, protection and performance are also at a fairly high level. The only negative is the video card - the picture of heavy games at maximum graphics settings leaves much to be desired. In all other respects, the phone will not leave anyone indifferent.

Pocophone f1 is the cheapest flagship with the appropriate hardware. The smartphone is literally created for those who do not want to overpay for an expensive appearance and are ready to be content only with performance, which, by the way, is greater than that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Xiaomi MI 8 Explorer Edition is a smartphone that meets all modern requirements. Performance, appearance, camera - everything is at a high level. The gadget has absorbed all the positive qualities of its competitors, leaving no room for flaws, however, purchasing it on the Russian market is far from easy.
